HI EVERYONE,
To answer some of your questions:
1. Yes, NO MORE BIKE! Blessing and a curse honestly. Miss the bike, but don't miss sweating as much.
2. We cover two wards: Mountainview and Tortolita
3. The trainee that Sister Wolfgramm and I were supposed to train together is sick and currently in the hospital. She probably won't make it out this transfer, so we don't know if we will still be training her together when she does come. )):
THIS WEEK WAS THE BEST! One of the harder ones, but incredible.
We had a lesson with two of our investigators who are on date to be baptized (we'll call them C and J). They have struggled with the Word of Wisdom and that is what we planned to teach them that day and so we were a little nervous. IT ENDED UP BEING ONE OF MY FAVORITE LESSONS I HAVE EVER TAUGHT. J (C's dad) was saying at the very beginning that he feels like he is becoming a completely different person and that he wants to get rid of his old habits. He parks his truck in a spot outside of our apartment, but his is a couple buildings over- and he said that he doesn't think it was a coincidence that his car spot was there so he would run into us. BUT we made a deal with both of them that if they followed the word of wisdom we would stop drinking soda, etc and get rid of all sugar type foods. IT'S HARD. It is such a strict thing but I am super proud of C and J for making the commitment.
So Dennis was going to the temple to do baptisms for the first time this week and I GOT TO GO WITH THEM!!! It was the best experience ever getting to go to the temple with a recent convert((:
This week was a little slower and yesterday we were knocking whole neighborhoods and no one was answering or listening and we had prayed a MILLION TIMES to find someone to talk to. Finally we started heading back to our apartment and we decided to walk around for a second and came across a family who was just moving in. Long story short, we helped them move everything in and they were super interested in meeting with us! It was a miracle for us.
Went on a hike this morning! SO HOT. It was already 90 degrees at like 7/8 am and we only got through part of the hike until all of us ran out of water and decided to go back down. It was still so much fun though HAHA.
I feel like there are so many things I want to share but I will try to keep it short. I hope you all have an amazing week! ((:
Love, Sister Cooper ((:
