HAPPY 2 MONTHS PEOPLE! It feels like it went by so slow but SO FAST TOO. I think that the time ahead will go by much quicker.
ALSO FIRST TRANSFER OVER. Shocker, I am staying where I am(; Last half of training here I come.
So funny but tragic story. So we went to a food place called Raising Canes last week. And while the other missionaries were ordering, I starting talking to this cute old couple and they were asking about missionaries and everything and the convo was so long that everyone had gotten their food and sat down at a different table by then. So when I finished, I jokingly asked if the other missionaries had prayed for my food too, and they said they had thanked him for their food but forgot to BLESS the food lol... they joked that someone was going to get sick because of it. LO AND BEHOLD, I got sick that night. My stomach was not feeling too hot, and I ended up giving my guts away the rest of the day and night. NOT FUN. I'll spare the rest of the details on that. But after those two miserable days, I am better and back to business. Basically, ALWAYS PRAY OVER YOUR FOOD.
Gave the prayer in sacrament meeting on Sunday, never realized how scary that is!!! An insight I gained from that though was that after I was talking to another sister and she said that I needed to remember this moment, and remember it the next time one of my investigators is scared to do something. Because now I will be able to relate and understand doing something like that that is out of my comfort zone. Being willing to do things that we ask our investigators to do too. I just thought I would share that insight! Just reminds me that the little struggles we go through or when we have to do things that scare us, that sometimes those experiences aren't for us- but so that we can help someone else and be able to understand better. Just a thought!
Two of our investigators, Hallie and her daughter May, finally set a baptism date! Her husband is a less active and so we have been trying to reactivate him and help the rest of his family. It is amazing the difference it has made in their life! Their baptism date is April 28 so it is going to come quick! Zach was able to bless the sacrament on Sunday and the spirit was so strong. I was grateful that it was something I could be apart of and see him do. I LOVE THEM!
That's all I got for this week, not much happened because of being sick.
LOVE YOU ALL!
Sister Cooper
